“Owner and Outfitter of Dodson Fly Fishing, Captain Matt Dodson has built his life and career around his passion for the sport of fly fishing. When he was six years old, he was taught how to cast a fly rod on the Madison River in Ennis, Montana and spent every summer from then on developing his love for the sport. After earning a degree in Outdoor Leadership and Resort Management from Western Colorado University, Matt moved to southwest Montana to start his career guiding on the esteemed Madison River and the surrounding trout streams.
Matt lives two blocks away from the Madison River in Ennis, Montana with his wife, Maggie, daughter Blythe, and dog Earl. He spends his winters as a ski patrolman at the Yellowstone Club and hosts bonefishing trips to the Bahamas in the Spring.”
Matt considers dry fly fishing to be the most rewarding way to catch trout and spends the majority of the season focused on getting trout to rise to the surface. So, join Matt and get coached up on the perfect drift!
